MY SHARED QUOTE FOR DAY 1 (April 23, 2018):
“When the waters of a lake are absolutely still, the lake reflects the trees, the sky, and everything around it perfectly. At the slightest breeze, with the smallest ripple in the waters, the lake reflects nothing but itself. To see another with clarity and objectivity, one first must master stillness. The slightest breeze of judgment or interpretation from the rational mind will create a ripple that shatters Awareness and returns us to ordinary perception.”
Alberto Villoldo
This quote appeals to me because it reminds me why stillness is so important. It is not simply about being quiet, but rather, maintaining an inner and outer calmness that permits one to more accurately reflect and perceive divinity. When we are removed from that stillness, what we reflect out to others is distorted, what we receive from others is distorted, and how we interpret everything around us is distorted.

MY SHARED QUOTE FOR DAY 2 (April 24, 2018):
“You are immortal; you exist for billions of years in different manifestations, because you are Life, and Life cannot die. You are in the trees, the butterflies, the fish, the air, the moon, the sun. Wherever you go, you are there, waiting for yourself.”
Miguel Angel Ruiz
This quote appeals to me because it literally demonstrates how interconnected everything in life actually is. Science shows us that nothing is ever destroyed in the universe….it simply transforms itself into something else. As such, everything within us, and everything outside of us, has its origins in energy that was once a part of something else. We are connected to everything, and we are a part of everything!

MY SHARED QUOTE FOR DAY 3 (April 25, 2018):
“I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death. They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make. Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.”
Leo Buscaglia
This quote appeals to me because it so captures the impact that people we love have on our lives, and also reveals how love serves to make and keep those connections always present for us. Everything in life is expressing its own unique form of manifestation. Love is a unifying aspect of divinity, bringing together many combinations of differing manifestations of that divinity on their journey back to their source. As apparently separate human beings, we can forget that we all come from that same source – but love reminds us so compellingly that we are always connected, through its ability to keep those we love alive in our hearts and thoughts while we are physically connected to them, and long after they appear to have left us in death.

Thank you Anita, this is a beautiful selection of very meaningful quotes. All three are very inspirational. The one from Leo Buscaglia was very comforting when we face the loss of a loved one. I like what you said about how “love reminds us so compellingly that we are always connected”. I was very touched, Amira

Thank you so much for your very kind comments, Amira, and again, thank you for nominating me for this challenge! 😊. Leo Buscaglia was an early favorite of mine from years ago, long before I had the life experience to understand just how wise he was about love and life.

Yes, “Dr. Love”, he was also one of my earlier favorites, I think I should re-read some of his books again 🙂

I love the quotes you came up with, especially the first one. I am trying to learn to cultivate stillness. Thank you for the nomination. Unfortunately, I had been nominated earlier, and already completed my 3 quotes.

Thanks so much for your kind comments, Laurie! I, too, am also trying to learn to cultivate stillness – not an easy task! And so pleased to hear that you had already been nominated for the challenge!
