Laurie, from the blog Meditations in Motion, has nominated me for this 3.2.1 Quote Me Challenge. Laurie maintains a wonderfully insightful and thoughtful blog that combines her passion for running with the many thoughts and memories she reflects on while running — all written in a storytelling-like format that is so enjoyable to follow and relate to!
This quote challenge involves posting 2 quotes for a selected topic of the day, and then selecting 3 other bloggers to take part if they desire to do so. The topic of the day from Laurie’s blog is “Hope“. She has provided fabulous quotes for this topic on her blog, which can be found here.
Here are the Quote Me Challenge rules:
Rules: 3.2.1 Quote Me!
- Thank the Selector
- Post 2 quotes for the dedicated Topic of the Day.
- Select 3 bloggers to take part in ‘3.2.1 Quote Me!’

Thank you, Laurie!!!
Here are my 2 quotes for the dedicated Topic of the Day (“Hope”):
- “Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” ~Desmond Tutu
- “Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.” ~Lin Yutang
I chose these two quotes because they remind me that hope is a very important and powerful concept in human existence and in effecting change. It has within it the ability to break through the chaos and confusion that can blind us temporarily during painful periods in life (as reflected in Quote #1), and, when it is harnessed by large numbers of people at critical moments, it changes the outcome (as reflected in Quote #2).
The three bloggers that I am honored to nominate are:
So glad to see you here on WordPress again! Love your quotes! They are so inspiring, especially the second one. I think hope is contagious, and you are doing your part to see it spread. Thank you!

Thank you always for your kind comments, Laurie! I was just mentioning to another blogger friend of mine that I just finished watching the movie “A Wrinkle in Time”. If you have not seen it, I highly recommend it! It is deeply metaphysical/spiritual, and, I believe, has a message for our present time! The movie gave me hope and inspiration!

Dear Anita: I loved the quotes you chose! I am very grateful that you nominated me for this challenge, and as a result I am very inspired. I will certainly keep your quotes and hope to follow up with a collection of quotes on hope. As you said ” hope has within it the ability to break through the chaos and confusion that can blind us temporarily during painful periods in life and, when it is harnessed by large numbers of people at critical moments, it changes the outcome” I believe that most of the positive changes we have seen in our world, happened because of people that had hope, that were able to dream of something better, and hope is contagious! Thank you for being a part of of spreading ripples of hope! Amira
