As the overwhelming “Blue Tsunami” election results started to become apparent during Tuesday’s Midterm Elections in the United States (November 3, 2026), one word kept flooding my mind: “Gratitude”

*Gratitude for the experience of seeing our country come together with a strong message for change, and a mandate for a meaningful change of direction!

*Gratitude for the fact that, despite our differences, we found a way to speak with one voice in a period of national crisis and collective suffering!

*Gratitude for the clarity of so many Americans who understand the cruelty that our government has been perpetrating here at home and abroad!

*Gratitude for the clarity of so many Americans that extreme wealth and corruption has been weakening our country and has been robbing individuals of the ability to have affordable, safe, and happy lives!

*Gratitude for the understanding of so many Americans that extreme wealth should not have more power and influence than the Voice of the People in a Democratic Republic!  The People fund their government, elect individuals to represent their interests, and expect their government to be accountable to them – and not to special interests and big money!

*Gratitude for the loud, unified voice of Americans stating emphatically that we have been moving in the wrong direction, and that we now demand transformative change that serves everyone!

We have been a very polarized country for several decades now, and we have not reacted well to our differences. Tuesday’s election results reveal a deep shift that has been building in the collective consciousness of the country, and that gives me tremendous hope and enormous joy! We don’t all have to agree on everything, and the truth is, we never will.  But we can find areas of common ground that we do agree on, and work together (rather than against one another) to achieve something collectively which can be much better than we have ever dreamed possible! In this year of our 250th Anniversary as a country, we have an opportunity to improve upon the dream and hope of our Founders, and make our country and ideals relevant to ALL who call it home!

I am thankful to every American that made this moment possible on Tuesday!  It is the result of many weeks, months and years of hard work, difficult discussions, funding important causes, protecting neighbors and one another from harm, seeking justice where possible, demanding more from our elected officials, collaborating online and in person, dreaming bigger than ourselves, and seeing our country and the world as an interconnected family!  We have an opportunity to re-write our future if we can continue to remain focused and committed to change – not just in this moment, but from this moment forward!

I am so proud to experience this journey with you!! Thank YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
